What is the SAN LUEUR Advanced LED Light Therapy Facial Mask?
The SAN LUEUR Advanced LED Facial Mask is the world’s first LED mask that delivers all three clinically approved wavelengths of light at the highest optimised energy output and irradiance (power density/ intensity of light) possible for an at-home device.
Our LED facial mask uses the gold-standard blue, red, and near-infrared LED light colours at wavelengths optimised to prompt real and visible results. It will help in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving the appearance of skin's clarity, skin tone and texture, firmness and pigmentation and reducing the appearance of blemishes and acne spots.
Can I use the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask while moving around?
The SAN LUEUR Advanced LED Light Therapy Facial Mask has been designed with convenience and comfort in mind. One of the benefits of our mask is that it is completely portable. It’s also made from soft, flexible, and travel-friendly premium silicone, so you can easily operate and reap the benefits of the mask whether you’re multi-tasking, relaxing or travelling.
What colours and wavelengths does the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask use?
The wavelengths are tailored to specific skin concerns and determine the depth of the
penetration of light into the skin. When the light is delivered into our skin, it is absorbed by our
cells and, in turn, energises them, offering different effects specific to the layer they reach.
The SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask uses:
- Blue LED light (415nm) targets the epidermis layer, where oil is produced, and
blemishes or acne may form. This LED light wavelength is associated with reducing the
appearance of blemishes or acne spots, prompting a clearer-looking complexion. - Red LED light (633nm) targets the dermis layer and is primarily used for revitalising the
appearance of your skin’s texture. This LED light wavelength is associated with
minimising the look of pores, fine lines and wrinkles, redness and pigmentation while
encouraging plumpness, smoothness, and radiance for a more glowing complexion. - Near-infrared light (830nm) targets the subcutaneous layer, which is comprised of fat
cells and connective tissue – it tends to lose its density over time. This wavelength is
associated with revitalising the look of skin’s overall tone and texture, smoothing the
appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while reducing the appearance of pigmentation.
Does LED light therapy really work? There are many LED masks on the market, and somemasks have more colours. What makes SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask the best LED mask foranti-ageing?
Not all masks are made equal, and more colours does not mean a better mask.
For an LED mask to be effective, three parameters (being – the wavelength, irradiance (power density/ intensity of light) and energy density/ output), need to be optimised for the mask to be effective. The correct wavelengths are the most important factor in delivering targeted results.
There are over 3,000 independent clinical studies supporting LED Phototherapy, but only three wavelengths of colour have been shown over time to deliver significant beauty outcomes.
The SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask conveniently combines the three gold-standard wavelengths: blue 415nm, red 633nm and near-infrared 830nm, with new-generation technology at the highest optimised energy output and irradiance possible for an at-home LED device.
The SAN LUEUR Facial Mask also has a higher number of LED lights – 60 blue lights and 120 dual-wave red and near-infrared lights to help you reveal skin that appears clearer, plump and radiant.
Does the SAN LUEUR Facial Mask contain blue UV light?
Some LEDs can produce ultraviolet (UV) light or radiation (including UVA and UVB), which is
what the sun produces. Exposure to UV LEDs is generally not recommended, as it can cause
damage to the skin. When used in cosmetic technology, non-UV LEDs can be used to prompt
visible and positive effects to the skin.
The SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask does not use any UV LEDs.
How many LED lights are in the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask?
The SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask uses new-generation dual-wave technology of LED lights that simultaneously deliver 120 red and near-infrared light wavelengths and 60 LED lights that deliver blue light wavelengths.
Why do the red and near-infrared lights turn on at the same time?
Near-infrared light is not visible on the light spectrum therefore, it is not a colour that can be seen by your eyes. We have engineered the near-infrared light to turn on with the red light using dual-wave technology, not only so it can be physically seen (for safety reasons) but also because published studies have shown that when red and near-infrared lights are used simultaneously, more significant beauty outcomes are achieved.
How does the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask compare to professional, in-clinic systems?
Although the output of professional LED machines is much higher, the dose delivered during an at-home LED treatment is very similar, as are the results!
Having the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask means you’ll have access to LED treatment from the comfort of your home, where you'll be able to take advantage of LED treatment more frequently and consistently. And your skin will reap the benefits.
The SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask is helpful for upkeep between in-clinic appointments, or as a standalone part of your skincare regimen.
My SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask isn’t a perfect fit for my face. Will I still get the samebenefits?
For your convenience and comfort, we have designed the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask with soft, flexible, premium silicone to fit most face shapes/ sizes. As long as the light is reflected on your skin, you will receive the same benefits.
Is there a product guide?
Please refer to the SAN LUEUR product manual that is included with your SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask for complete instructions for use, warnings, precautions, and contraindications.
Do I need to clean the LED mask? How do I clean it?
Before each use, with the device switched off, clean both sides of the mask with a water-based wipe or damp, clean cloth. Water-based baby wipes work well.
Stubborn stains can be removed by wiping gently with 70% alcohol.
Always wipe the LED side of the mask gently and let the mask air dry before starting treatment.
The power indicator on my controller is flashing; what does this mean?
This means that the battery is insufficient, and the device needs to be charged.
How do I charge my mask and how long should I charge it for?
You will not be charging the mask itself. You will be charging the controller.
A flashing power indicator on your controller means there is insufficient battery, and your
controller needs to be charged.
To charge the controller, insert the USB-C charging cable into the bottom input of the
controller.
The power button on the controller will stop flashing when the controller is fully charged. This
can take up to 2-3 hours.
Once the controller is fully charged, unplug the charging cable.
To use your mask, insert the USB-C cable into the top input of the controller and plug the mask
into the controller.
NOTE:
- Do not overcharge the controller, as overcharging can affect the battery power over
time. - The USB-C input, which connects the mask to the controller, is at the top of the controller. You should not connect the mask to the controller while it is charging, as this may damage your mask.
My controller is not charging; what’s wrong?
Ensure that the USB-C charging cable is fully attached to the bottom input of your controller. You must push the USB-C charger into the controller until you hear and feel a “click.”
Please also make sure that you are not charging the controller while your mask is also plugged in, as this can cause issues with charging. If you are still having issues with charging your controller, please reach out to one of our customer service team members at support@sanlueur.com, and they will be able to assist you with further troubleshooting.
Can I use my SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask outside of Australia?
The SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask is built for global use. In addition to an Australian power adapter, we have included a USB cable that you can conveniently use globally. We encourage you to take your mask with you whilst travelling.
Use
I purchased the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask. Which wavelength should I use?
This depends on your specific skin concerns.
Use the red and near-infrared wavelengths to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation.
If you would like to reduce the appearance of blemishes or acne spots for a clearer-looking complexion, we recommend using the blue wavelength. Then, you can use the red and near-infrared wavelengths for maintenance, prevention, and revitalisation of your skin.
Please refer to the Product Manual provided with your SAN LUEUR Facial Mask for further treatment recommendations.
How long does LED light therapy take to work?
Our skin cycle renews every 28 to 30 days.
With consistent use, you should see results from your SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask starting at four weeks.
As a great visual tool to help you track your progress, we encourage you to take photos of your skin regularly. For best results, ensure your lighting and photo angles are consistent.
The most visible skin changes often take months to become very noticeable, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t immediately see results. Your skin won’t look dramatically different overnight, but if you care for it consistently, you’ll gradually notice your skin’s look, feel, and overall quality will improve over the coming weeks and months.
You don’t have to keep your skin success all to yourself – share your progress photos with us by tagging #sanlueur or @sanlueur on Instagram or emailing them to us at info@sanlueur.com.
Will the LED lights increase my pigmentation or exacerbate my melasma?
There have been instances of melasma improvement using red and near-infrared wavelengths of light reported in published clinical studies; however, the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask has not been tested specifically for melasma. So, is this the best LED mask for hyperpigmentation?
Although we have not tested this effect, published clinical studies indicate red and near-infrared LEDs using the same gold standard wavelengths that are used in our mask have been shown to help decrease pigmentation.
We recommend avoiding using blue light, as blue light can exacerbate melasma and pigmentation. If you are unsure about your melasma or pigmentation, we recommend consulting your dermatologist.
Should I use the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask morning or night?
The SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask has the benefit of being used either morning or night.
Consistency is key! We suggest you find a time that works best with your routine, which will be the best way to notice positive results.
Is it normal to get pimples from using the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask?
The wavelengths used in the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask target the epidermis layer of your skin, where oil is produced, and blemishes or acne may form, reducing the appearance of blemishes or acne spots and prompting a clearer-looking complexion.
You may experience some acne breakouts after your initial treatments as a result of your skin's purging process. We encourage you to continue with the treatment time outlined in the product manual.
You should not continue to experience pimples after treatments. Please be sure that you are cleaning your device thoroughly before each use to avoid bacterial growth on your mask.
Should I apply any serums or products to my face before using the mask?
We recommend you apply the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask to cleansed, dry skin.
Remove any serums, creams, lotions or makeup BEFORE treatment with the SAN LUEUR LED Advanced Light Therapy Facial Mask.
These products may reduce the amount of light reaching the skin, reducing the treatment's effect. They could also damage the mask itself. Some ingredients in these products may also cause light sensitisation and a skin reaction.
After the treatment time, follow your regular skin regimen with serums and a moisturiser.
Can I use the SAN LUEUR LED Facial Mask with my current skincare products?
The SAN LUEUR Facial Mask is compatible with most skin care routines.
We recommend you apply the mask to cleansed, dry skin. After the treatment time, follow with your regular skin regimen with serums and a moisturiser. You should always apply your skin care products after treatments.
